Personal Data Protection Notice

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This notice explains how Posikata Consultancy ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use posikata.com, including our free DISC assessment at posikata.com/disc. We follow Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1. Who we are

Posikata Consultancy, Malaysia, is responsible for the personal data described here.
Contact for privacy matters: hello@posikata.com

2. What we collect

Free DISC assessment

You do not need to sign up, and we do not ask for your name. When you complete the assessment we collect:

  • your answers to the 20 decisions and your DISC result;
  • your gender, age range, nationality, industry, current role level and years of work experience (range);
  • a session code, if your trainer gave you one (see "Group sessions" below);
  • your accuracy rating and comment, if you choose to give them;
  • basic technical details: device type (mobile or desktop), the page that referred you, any campaign tag in the link, and how long you took.

These are stored under a random ID, not under your name.

Group sessions

If you take part in a group session run by Posikata and enter a session code, we also ask for your name and your consent to include it in your group's DISC report.

If you ask for your PDF report

Your email address and your consent choices (to receive the report, and optionally to receive tips and workshop news).

If you contact us

Your name, email address, phone number and anything you choose to tell us.

Website hosting

Our hosting provider may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and performance.

3. How we use it

  • To show your result on screen, and email your PDF report if you ask for it.
  • For research. We analyse combined, anonymous results to publish yearly insights about DISC styles at work, for example by industry, role level or country. No published report will identify any individual.
  • To improve the assessment. We use answers and accuracy ratings to test and improve how well the assessment measures DISC styles.
  • For group sessions. If you entered a session code, we use it to prepare combined results for that session (see section 4).
  • To send tips and workshop news, only if you ticked the box to agree. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep our services secure and prevent misuse.

4. Group sessions

Group DISC reports help a team understand how its members prefer to work. If you enter a session code and give your consent:

  • your name and DISC result (your style and your four scores) will be shared with your trainer and included in your group's DISC report;
  • that report will be seen by your team and by the organisation that arranged the session;
  • your answers to the individual questions, your accuracy rating and your profile details (such as age range) are not included in the group report.

Your name is stored separately from your anonymous research data. If you do not want to be named, leave the session code empty and take the assessment anonymously. You can also ask us to remove your name from a group report before it is delivered.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and the assessment, under their own security and privacy commitments:

ProviderWhat they do for us
Google (Google Sheets, Apps Script, Gmail)Store assessment results and send PDF reports
Google FontsDeliver the fonts used on our pages (your browser connects to Google to load them)
GoDaddyHost the website

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

6. Transfers outside Malaysia

Our providers may store or process data on servers outside Malaysia. We use established providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect personal data.

7. How long we keep it

  • Assessment data (anonymous answers, results and profile details): up to 7 years, for research. It is used only in combined form.
  • Email addresses for PDF reports: up to 24 months, then deleted, unless you agreed to receive tips and news.
  • Names for group sessions: up to 24 months after the session, then deleted. The anonymous assessment data is kept as above.
  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.

8. How we protect it

Assessment data is stored in a private, access-controlled system that only Posikata Consultancy can view. Submissions are checked and validated before they are stored. No system is completely secure, but if a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • delete your data, or stop or limit how we use it;
  • stop sending you marketing (use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us);
  • withdraw a consent you gave earlier.

Email hello@posikata.com. Because assessment results are not stored under your name, please tell us the email address you used for your PDF report, or your name and session code (for group sessions), or the approximate date you took the assessment, so we can find your record. We reply within 21 days.

10. Age

The assessment is designed for adults aged 18 and over.

11. Cookies and tracking

The DISC assessment does not use cookies or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider may use technical scripts to monitor website performance. If we add analytics tools in future, we will update this notice first.

12. About your DISC result

The free DISC assessment is a self-development tool. It is not a clinical or diagnostic test, and it should not be used to make hiring or selection decisions.

13. Language

This notice is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia. If the two versions differ, the English version applies.

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.
