Psychological Safety training for leaders and teams
Help your people speak up, ask for help, own mistakes and challenge the status quo without fear. Our SAFER Leadership Blueprint starts by measuring where your team really stands.

What is Psychological Safety?
Psychological Safety is a shared belief within a team that it is safe to take interpersonal risks: to ask questions, raise concerns, offer new ideas or admit mistakes without being embarrassed or punished. Harvard Business School professor Amy Edmondson popularised the term, and Google's Project Aristotle found it to be the most important factor behind its most effective teams.
It is not the same as being nice, or as trust between two people. It is about how safe the whole group feels to speak up. When it is missing, problems stay hidden until they escalate. The most expensive mistakes are often the ones someone saw coming but didn't mention.
Signs your team needs it
- Meetings are quiet, and the real discussion happens afterwards.
- Mistakes are hidden, reported late or blamed rather than learned from.
- New or young managers fear presenting to stakeholders or asking for help.
- Help is given when asked, but rarely offered.
- Only a few people's opinions really count in decisions.
How we measure it: the Psychological Safety Audit
Before the programme, every participant completes our Psychological Safety Audit: 20 statements across four domains, available in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Each domain is scored and banded, giving every person, and the team, a clear starting point.
Open Conversation
Can people disagree, including with seniors, and say what they actually think?
Attitude to Risk & Failure
Are mistakes reported early and treated as learning, not blame?
Willingness to Help
Do people ask for help and offer it without being asked?
Inclusion & Diversity
Are opinions considered regardless of position, background or department?
Results fall into four bands: Strong (4.2 to 5.0), Developing (3.4 to 4.1), Fragile (2.6 to 3.3) and At Risk (below 2.6). The programme then focuses on the domains your team needs most.

What is Psychological Safety in the workplace?
Psychological Safety is a shared belief that it is safe to speak up, ask questions, share ideas and admit mistakes at work without fear of embarrassment or punishment. It is a key driver of team learning, innovation and performance.
How do you measure Psychological Safety?
We use our Psychological Safety Audit: 20 statements across four domains (Open Conversation, Attitude to Risk & Failure, Willingness to Help, and Inclusion & Diversity), banded Strong, Developing, Fragile or At Risk. It is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
What does SAFER stand for?
SAFER stands for Safety, Authenticity, Focus, Empathy and Resilience. These are the five commitments each participant turns into a personal action plan at the end of the programme.
Are all your programmes customised?
Yes, every one. Each programme starts with a discovery call or meeting to understand your exact pain points, who is attending and what needs to change. We then design the content, case studies and activities around your organisation. We don't have any off-the-shelf programmes.
Are your programmes claimable under HRD Corp?
Yes. Edward is an HRD Corp–certified trainer (Train-the-Trainer, TTT/11242), and our in-house programmes can be structured as HRD Corp claimable training for registered employers. Share your dates and headcount and we'll advise on the scheme and prepare the supporting documents.
Tell us what you want your people to do differently.
We'll start with a discovery call, then design a programme around your team, with an assessment built in. Most programmes can be HRD Corp claimable.
